WHO IN THE WORLD

IS NACHO

He doesn’t

usually talk about where he comes from. But if you want to understand why he fights the way he does, you need to know.

Nacho grew up

in los pueblos del sur of Venezuela. At six years old he was already working in agricultural fields with his mum. like many others in the area, it was just reality. If he didn’t help, things didn’t move.

He grew up fast. being exposed to more of life struggles from an early age than most of us will ever have to understand in a lifetime. All for just enough income to survive. He never saw himself as a victim. He worked hard, laughed when he could, played football in the dust, and kept going.

Before Australia,

there were setbacks. Fights that didn’t go his way. Injuries. Times where money was tight and the future wasn’t clear. There were moments where quitting ran through his mind, and in a system built for you to fail no one would blame him. If not for that discipline, and Drive to be more those thought might have won.

Boxing came later.

At first it was just something to do and enjoy. Then it became structure. It gave him discipline, people around him, and a direction that felt bigger than the town he was in.

The opportunity

to come to Geelong changed things. At Corner Boxing Co, he found a coach and a team who believed in him, but belief alone doesn’t carry you. He listened. He trained. He stayed consistent. Even on the days he didn’t feel great.

Now when he steps into the ring,

it’s not just about winning rounds.
He’s fighting for the Australian Championship.
He’s fighting to build a life here.
He is fighting to become Australian citizen.
